Hand painted 16x20 painting of Belle with bloody tears.
Technically a splatter painting, just with whites and grays for the background. The main focus is of course a thick, black line drawing of Belle (from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) with bloody tears coming from her left eye. The idea actually came from an old coloring book that belonged to my daughter. For some reason, a very faint but still noticeable red drip from a red marker had gone down Belle’s cheek, oddly enough straight from her tear duct. So I thought it looked really cool! A little morbid, but it can be analyzed in so many ways! What do you see besides the obvious? What meaning do derive from it?
